Today I arrived in foggy Santiago, Chile to begin my official maqui berry venture! After flying nine hours on the plane from Dallas, Texas to Santiago. I am pretty exhausted as it is none too easy sleeping on a plane. This is my third time to visit the country and second time this year. I have managed to pack everything that I will need down here into 3 suitcases and 2 backpacks.
I started researching places to stay a few weeks ago before my home in Fort Worth, Texas was scheduled to sell. I found a really nice deal on Craigslist for a bed and breakfast in Santiago. The owners are from France and it appears to be a nice place so far. There are 2 sisters and 1 brother that live here in Santiago and run the place. The hotel, or what we would call a bed and breakfast is a large home in the Providencia neighborhood of Santiago. Adolfo is one of the owners and he picked me up at the airport this morning. It has been a long day and I think I am going to retire so I can get some of the rest that i did not get much of last night. I guess the maqui berry is going to have to be patient.
